What
are you doing? twitter
empowers people like you and me to communicate with each other on a higher level.
After getting used to the ease of the system we assimilate with more and more
people and casually reveal our thoughts as though inputting into a private journal.
Yet these entries are being shared almost immediately by the collective group.
While we are not cybernetically enhanced humanoids of multiple species
organized as an interconnected collective, we are technically enhanced humans
of multiple nationalities, organized as an interconnected collective by
twitter. Our decisions are not made by a hive mind, but sometimes the input guides
us, giving us some directive. | |
Step by step Maybe
you began this Borg-like journey by using facebook as a convenient way to stay
connected with your friends and family. You started with people you already knew
and now you've upped your game with twitter. You've opened up your circle and
are sharing more of yourself than ever before with people you may never ever meet
in person. That part doesn't matter as much as it used to, because even without
the face to face interaction, you know in a fashion, what they are thinking.

Too much information? Twitter
is ambient - updates from your friends and relatives float to your phone, IM,
or web site but you are only expected to pay as much or as little attention to
them as you see fit. You can step in and out of the flow of information as it
suits you. The information is there, but you don't have to act on it. You're very
well informed, but not quite a drone. | Resistance
is futile Admit it, you're on your way.
People who don't twitter get a bit annoyed when you do it around them. They feel
you're not paying attention to what they're saying. They don't understand that
you have the ability to do multiple things at once with your mind. If only there
was some sort of hitech headband with the ability to send thoughts out to your
twitter collective. Wait we mean community, and if only their twitter thoughts
would come to your mind at will. | | | | | Hatching
